  5. The following  plant  pollen  proteins,  whose  biological function is not yet
  6. known, are structurally related [1]:
  7.  
  8.  - Olive tree pollen major allergen (Ole e I).
  9.  - Tomato anther-specific protein LAT52.
  10.  - Maize pollen-specific protein ZmC13.
  11.  
  12. These proteins are most probably secreted and  consist  of about 145 residues.
  13. As shown  in the  following  schematic representation, there are six cysteines
  14. which are  conserved  in  the  sequence  of  these  proteins.  They seem to be
  15. involved in disulfide bonds.
